"Adsorption tower pressure is stable, and feed composition fluctuations remain within controllable limits—this optimization plan is working," reported the on-duty operator in real time from the control room of Liaoyang Petrochemical's aromatics unit on May 18. Over the past four months, by adjusting material flow directions, the company increased its cumulated para-xylene output by 4.1% year-on-year, setting a new record for the past five years and achieving a significant breakthrough in quality improvement and efficiency enhancement.
Since the beginning of this year, facing challenges caused by shortages in mixed xylene feedstock, Liaoyang Petrochemical has firmly embraced the concept that "stability leads to greater profitability." Without changing the original operating mode, the company closely monitored raw material specifications, precisely controlled key parameters, strengthened full-process economic evaluation, and continuously improved para-xylene yield and unit operational efficiency. Technical personnel enhanced fine-grained process management, implemented special protection and anomaly management for critical equipment, ensuring stable and high-volume production under high-load conditions. Meanwhile, through initiatives such as Red Flag Team evaluations and optimized operation procedures, frontline employees' enthusiasm was fully mobilized, focusing on resolving key issues affecting long-term stable operations and driving continuous improvements across all production indicators.
